This website is operated by MEC Society, the registered body of the Muslim Entrepreneurs Community ("MEC", "we", "us"). By using this website or registering for an event, you agree to these terms, our Privacy Policy and our Return & Refund Policy.
Event registration
- You must give your real name, a working email address and a phone number when you register.
- A registration is confirmed only after payment succeeds, or after we verify your mobile wallet transaction. You receive a confirmation email with your ticket code.
- Each ticket admits one person. You may not resell a ticket. You may transfer it to another person only as described in the Return & Refund Policy.
- Seats are limited. We may close registration when an event is full.
Prices and payment
- All prices are in Bangladeshi Taka (BDT) and include any applicable charges.
- Online payments are processed by SSLCommerz. We do not see or store your card, bank or mobile wallet details.
- Discount codes are valid only for the event and period they were issued for, and cannot be exchanged for cash.
- An unpaid registration expires if payment is not completed in time, and the seat is released.
Changes to events
We may change an event's speakers, schedule or venue when necessary. If we cancel or reschedule an event, we will tell you by email, and you can get a refund under the Return & Refund Policy.
Conduct at events
MEC is a values-led community. We expect every attendee to behave respectfully towards other attendees, speakers and staff. We may refuse entry to, or remove, anyone who behaves in a harmful or disruptive way. No refund is given in that case.
Photos and recordings
We may photograph or record events and share the material on our website and social media channels. Tell a member of staff at the event if you do not want to appear in them.
Content on this website
The text, images, logos and videos on this website belong to MEC or to the people who gave us permission to use them. You may not copy them for commercial use without our written permission.
Limitation of liability
We take care to run safe, well-organised events. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim related to an event is limited to the amount you paid for that event's registration.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh. Any dispute is subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Dhaka.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. The version in force when you register applies to that registration.
